Which GT40 heads should i use on a 94 GT?

If you are sold on GT-40 heads and you are using a blower than stick with the bigger chamber heads.
The pistons that come in the kit you have posted are flat tops with +11 cc top. According to my calculator, if you have a zero deck, use .041 head gaskets and use the 64cc heads you will have 11.9:1 compression which is wasy to much for boost.
The 58cc heads will bump it up to 13.2:1. Not gonna happen.
Using the 64cc head with about a -7cc dish will give you about 9.5:1 compression which is as high as I would go.
Also, the GT40X heads are for pedestal mount rockers and will require some machine work to set them up for studs and the right springs for a blower cam.
I would seriously look at a set of Trick Flow "fast as cast" 170cc street heads or larger and order the scat kit with trick flow specific pistons.

Thanks "EHA". I talked with on of my club members. im going to buy a separate block for the KB. what GT40 or Trickflow heads would go with the SCAT kit and a B cam. I just ran across a 86 shell with a blown motor :rock:

I think I have a sloution for you and it will save you a little coin and a ton of time. I have access to a MINT shortblock that is set up for what you need. It's a 306, forged eagle crank, eagle rods and trick flow pistons. It is fully assembled with head studs, main girdle, balancer, flexplate, oil pan, timing cover, TFS stage 1 cam, lifters and is internal balanced. That engine with a set of Twisted wedge 170 to 190 heads and some 1.7 rockers would make awesome power.
The engine is available for $1,500 which is MUCH less than what you will have in building one.
I believe it had 170 cnc'd heads and made over 425 RWHP with 10 lbs of boost.

sweet wish i had the funds to take that block. 1500 is a great buy.

yeah. but the 86 is going to be a project. throw it in a garage in Maryland and work on it here and there on my extended trips down there. i need to focus on this pain the neck 94. So going with the E-cam, and GT-40x 64cc heads ill be pretty much set engine wise for a nice street car?

as great as the alphabet cams are, your limited with it if down the road you wanna add more stuff, your better off going with a custom ground or comp cams off the shelf ones.

a buddy of mine has a Mustang II with a 302 and a B cam, and its right on the limits with the mods he has, with an E cam and your mods, it would a good street car since most people run an E or F cam on the streets

If you are interested I have a set of GT40x aluminum heads with 1.6 rockers for $600. I personally have had good experience with a b303 camshaft with 1.7 rockers and would choose it, or tfs stage 1 over an E cam any day JMO. If you are going to buy a new cam, comp cams xe/nx offers a descent variety of high lift low duration wide lobe seperation which makes for the best streetability and power. Custom is always the best choice. Are you looking to build the 331 and/or KB for the SN95 or the 86? What are your goals?

I want my 94 to be a streetable Kraut and Rice killer for when i go to the meets and hear the usual "Rustang" and "5.Slo" i can shut them up. basically i juss want a 400 - 450 horsepower street car that i can drive on a daily and go to the track and mess around a bit. Probably might Carb it or upgrade the manifold.

The 86 is scrapped the frame had waaay to much rust. i poked a hole right through the rear of the frame.
