What Tires to Buy for New Rims????

Buying new tires to put on new rims for my 03 GT

Rims will be 18 x 9 Front and 18 X 10 Rear.

Need Ideas for good tires for these rims without having to sell my 10 year old to buy them.

Plan on spring/summer driving. Might get caught in the rain from time to time.

I agree, I have been very happy with this tire set up, even atthe track. I think the 18' drag radials are always on back order though.

I have 245/45/18 front and 285/35/18 rear Sumitomo's HTRZ II from AM. For the price, they're a great tire

I had Toyo Proxes T1R on my car when I bought it. They were a great tire. I think you are going to want a 245/40 18 though. The 45 series tire will be a little too tall compared to the 285/35 18. I have heard good things about the Sumitomo's HTRZ II, and they are inexpensive.

Definitely going with the sumitomos, they have a lot of reviews, some good some bad but most good ones were from mustang owners, so..... yeah ... for 73 a piece........ cant really go wrong...

i have 255 sumitomos in the front, and they're pretty nice, and 275 BR good rich in the back, they have about 50% of life left, but they do real good in rain. don't spin much even in 2nd unless you sink the pedal. and i hear a lot of bad stuff about nittos555, i heard they have no traction.

I'm also a big fan of Nitto 555's. I had Bridgestone Potenza RE750's for a few years, but I'll probably stick with the Nitto's for a while.

I have the nittos 555 up front and 555 drs on back and they have been great and discount tire will get you a good deal.
