With the 2015 Ford Mustang about to hit dealerships the aftermarket will be pushing to release their products as soon as possible, one of those being Vortech Superchargers. The company based in Oxnard, CA looks to not be that far off, as they have just released a teaser photo and a few details regarding their centrifugal supercharger system for Ford’s next-gen pony car.
The heart of the Vortech system will be the company’s V-3 Si supercharger, which will boost the Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 to 640 horsepower and 485 lb-ft torque in standard trim. The system will come with an easy to install dual plate mounting system as well as an air-to-air intercooler for improved power and reliability. Need even more power? Vortech will be offering a host of additional upgrades and packages including a competition air inlet assembly, an 8-rib supercharger drive assembly, a fuel pump voltage booster and a Maxflow billet race BOV. The system will also be available as a tuner kit capable of producing up to 775 horsepower, and upgrading to the V-7 JT or V-7 YSi superchargers will net up to 1,000 or 1,200 horsepower, respectively.
