First Let me say I'm impressed that you can tell its a real 64.5 by the floor pan, I thought I knew all the differences but never heard about the floor pan being different ! Car has a schedule build date of June 17th 1964.
I do have to deal with the brake light switch, I plan to use the orig dist block and a separate proportional valve. This should free up one port on the dist block so I can add the brake light switch, haven't completely figured that one out yet. If you havn't checked out this site yet
http://www.midnightdsigns.com/james/ , it is great for info , I am following most of his info on the brake swap. I have 15inch Rims now so clearance shouldn't be a problem. I may run new brake lines , but mine are fairly new already. The orig parts are definitely for sale and are in really good shape.
If I didn't have the parts already I would probally go with the scarebird set up
www.scarebird.com because you don't have to take everything apart and no effect on bump steer.
I have owned the car since 1998, and restored it / changed it a few times now, I like to customize it for my taste, I don't ever plan to sell it, I would like my son to have it (way in the future, he's 10)
I just finished installing a T5, I can't wait to drive it with the 5 speed!
I just finished installing a new black interior , the seats are much better now with the new foam. My car has only 45k miles since new, its time to get it out !
