Trouble at the strip....

Well to say the least I got quite abit WHP over stock and I cant get anywhere near where I should be...

Went to the strip last week...
Stock S197
udps
shorties
and C&L racer
305/45/17 Drags

was running low 13's - 12.8

I have over 40hp to the wheels than him but I cant break a 13.121...
I have:
275/45/17 Drag Radials on stockers
relocation brackets
BMR LCAS
Che Severe duty Panhard
Eibach prokit
(and blow shocks and struts)


Heres what I noticed...
My car is squating so hard I am rubbing rear tire...
I launch at 4500 and I bog...
My shocks and struts are all blown...
Clutch is getting there..
I had just gotten the car tuned and it was my first time driving it in 2weeks...
My Body kit certainly cannot be helping but I wonder how much it is hurting...

I really should be low to mid 12's but I dont understand if it is all because of driver or if it is because of suspension travel or something...

I am going one more time before october and if I do not hit 12's I really may sell my car...

I am thinking about getting shocks and struts, MSD 2step, Shift Light, Kmember brace and ect ect ect ect mods = endless...
Just proves If I dont hit my goal i am going to see how much i can get for the car...

Sounds like you need that new driver mod :D. blown shocks can't help the process.

But as Sir Mike said, what are the 60' and mph.

The car should not squat in the back. you are losing power through the chassis big time. If you are replacing the shocks I would recommend adjustables. Then you can set the pressue higher for racing so the rear doesn't slam. I bet you pick up a lot of time there.

My Slowest mph was at 95 mph and my slowest time was at 106mph around I will post up slips...
My best 60' was 1.9 but I vary around 2.3 ( horrible I know)...
My car is lowered and I do have Video from the inside...
I will scan my slips when I get home and get that one video up...
I am now thinking the qa1 coilovers rear system....

And yes my car is sitting so hard it's basically digging innto the edge of my drag radials....
This is just so fustrating you know... I'll get my times up a lil later!

got to get that 60ft down then you will be in the 12s. when u going to the track again and what track i wanna go this year. im also looking to hit 12s lol let me know ill go down with u!! what psi u running in your tires
