when do i have to change my tranny fluid ?

My dad changed his tranny fluid on his commander.. it`s a special transmission, made by Mercedes.. and you can only change the fluid by the VIN number =\.

Anyway, for my 04 3.9 when do i have to change it ? =]

first off you dont have a 3.9. probably wouldnt hurt to do it every 30k :idk:

2nd off yes, you do have a 3.9.

Ford ran out of 3.8's midway through 2004, and used the 3.9 windstar engine. essentially the same as the 3.8, no real power or internal differences.

So 30k. I`ll do this when i change my oil and filters again.

most manufacturers say 30k. really depends on how you drive.

i heard 70k miles is the time to change a trans fluid.
and yes 40 anniversary sixers came with 3.9L
Resvon, get a shift kit. idk what it is, but i heard it's worth it's price
