Tint or buy blacked out lights?

Should I tint my lights or just buy blacked out headlights and tail lights? What do you all think? Would it look good being a torch red mustang or keep stock? Looking for something different and thought it may look good.

BTW still working on the cams, finally back at it today.

You can buy precut tinted vinyl overlays for the tails. I painted mine and it was a disaster. It took me about 3 tries due to dust and other crap falling into the paint as it was drying, and they still need to be buffed. I would have them professionally done or I know people have had luck with the vinyl.

Where can you get the vinyl overlays? I may just try that and I assume you can just do that with the lights on the car anyway which is easier too.

I had a vinyl kit at first, and I actually think the reason I failed was because I tried to do it with the lights on the car. It is like tinting a window and requires a lot of patience that I didn't have. A guy I know bought his from autobadges.com. They are a little pricey but some people on ebay also make them (which is what I bought and possibly another contributing factor in my fail).

Make sure you get the sticky viynl! It was actually fun to put on,and came out perfect! Think I paid $20 for every light and marker on the rear

just get the smoked head lights off ebay. mine are dark with clear corners. 100$ and look great, just gotta seal them. as far as tail lights theres ones that are spray tinted and look 100x better. american muscle is selling tinted ones now too that are pretty close to the factory design.

i spray tinted mine and they came out good, they still need a buff but I just haven't had time to do so. but i like the way they look.
