Spool and Differential help

Spools and slip differentials What does each do? And which brands do you guys recommend? I want to work on my rearend for the winter so please help. . .thanks

Spools are always spining both wheels at the sametime even when you are going around turns. Slip diffs are just what it say's it let's 1 tire spin faster then the other around turns. There is a video that I will put up when I find that will explain it better
