K&N took the wraps off their new Blackhawk Induction air intake for the 2011-2014 Ford Mustang GT at this year’s SEMA Show. Part #71-3527, the intake system features black powder coated aluminum tubing, a heat shield, a washable and resuable Dryflow air filter and all necessary hardware for installation. The filter itself can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings and doesn’t require any oil. The intake can be installed with basic hand tools and uses all factory mounting points.
The Blackhawk intake usn’t just for looks, though, and K&N says the system nets a significant increase in both horsepower and torque. The company’s dyno test saw the intake net an increase of 14.3 horsepower at 4808 rpm and 16.7 lb-ft torque at 4526 rpm compared to the factory system.
K&N lists the retail pricing of the Blackhawk Induction Intake at $356.85.
