Powder Coated 4.6L Valve Covers - Be Aware

My Valve Covers look fabulous... I do need to warn everyone that before powder coating, the shop sand/media blasted the covers... As we were prepping the covers to install them, we noticed sand/media falling out... Hmmm... We spent about an hour on each one getting a ton of the material out of the baffles and voids on each one...

How do you powder coat plastic? Or did you buy metal valve covers and have them powder coated? I had my P51 intake powder coated and Steve from Mustang Magic spent hours cleaning them out because the powder coating got inside. The plus too that was I ended up with a ported intake.

Thank God there is another Irishman to help these guys when I'm not around... LOL - Yes, the covers are aluminum... I just put the stang to rest today for the winter... I coated them the Ford Blue... I think they look great... I'll take pic's when I can...

ford blue?!?! im getting mine done green as we speak. i figures you would too. also if anyone wants them, i will be selling my old ones soon. i can even get them powdercoated any color you want before i ship them

I was extremely tempted to go green... I just decided to contrast all the Bullitt Green under the hood... Along with the Jet Coated headers and stainless under the hood, it looks really good...
