If you’re planning on attending the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens to the public today, you aren’t going to see the new 2015 Mustang, but there will still be a full contingent of pony cars from the Blue Oval on display. The full 2014 lineup is in attendance, including the menacing Mustang V6 with the FP6 Appearance Package that we showed you yesterday, along with several GT and GT500 models. You’ll also be able to see the widebody Shelby GT500 that will star in the upcoming Need for Speed movie as well as Nitto Tire’s custom 2014 Mustang GT that debuted at SEMA earlier this month. And our favorite Mustang in the Ford booth? An absolutely mint 1966 Shelby GT350 brought out to promote the countdown to the 2015 Mustang’s debut next month.
As we told you about yesterday there are also several aftermarket Mustangs making their debut in Los Angeles, starting with the 2014 Shelby GT. It’s the first time the model has been offered since 2008, and the new entry-level Shelby Mustang has a starting package price of $14,995. The company also has several of their Mustangs on the show floor including a 2013 GT350 and a 2013 GT500 Super Snake Widebody. Saleen made a significant announcement as well, unveiling their SA-30 Mustang to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. Just ten of the limited edition Mustangs will be built with a starting price tag of $95,000.
Finally, Galpin Auto Sports brought out several of their own customized Mustangs, from the blue Shelby GT500 widebody we showed you at SEMA to a hot pink Mustang Convertible.
