Oil Pressure line?

okay so i have everything all hooked up and going except my oil pressure line and its just a wire with what looks like a tap that goes into my block but heres the problem my cars off of the road and i cant get it in the air until next spring is there anyway i can do this from above my car and maybe jack stands? or can i tap into another wire? thanks guys

On jack stands is fine. You need to tap into or add an oil pressure sending unit. I need pics or a description of the unit.

Electrical you need a sending unit
Mechanical, you need to tap the hard line into the oil line. Not recommended if mounting the gauge inside the car.

You might need a sandwich adapter for the oil filter. It has a 1/8" npt prt on it that you can screw the sending unit into and wire it that way.

hey thanks for getting back so fast it is a digital and i have the sending unit it is about an 1/8 and it has threading on one side and a place to tie down the wire to the other. I already have my interior back together the gauge is on my pillar pod and the wire is already run threw my firewall just needs to be hooked up(i can add more wire if needed)

i just don't no where it goes im kinda a noob to this so im a little lost but getting the hang of it do i NEED to have the car in the air or can i do this with what i have

Put the car on the jackstands. only enough as if you are doing an oil change.

You have the sending unit with the 1/8" thread, so you will need the sandwich plate. Go here for it. It is the same one I use for my oil pressure gauge.

I do not know if you had the 3.8 or the 4.0, but you can add that. after you get the adapter, just screw in the sending unit. One wire will be ground and the other goes to the sending unit.
