Well all, in part because the Veterans cruise was such a huge hit and because everybody (including myself) would like another cruise before it's time to put the Stangs away, I've decided to organize another FUNDRAISING cruise. I can't say which foundation will benefit from this yet because I'm still waiting for final approval from them, but I can tell you that this foundation IMO is one of the best (We were approved, read below). The point of this thread isn't to speculate which foundation, but rather to discuss a date (I'm thinking sometime in October) when we could do another cruise. The leaves will be changing, the mountains will be different colors, and the weather will be nice and cool for the cars. I have us penciled in for October 10
I need some opinions. Thomas Bull Memorial Park was a REALLY nice spot, and was perfect for the Veterans Cruise. We could definitely rent out the park again for the show, and do it like we did the Veterans cruise with getting shirts made up and also providing food and drink (more drinks this time). The only thing is if we do it like that, we will need to get sponsors again to help pay for the rental of the park, shirts, and food.
What do you guys think? I'm thinking October 10. Any ideas on if we should go all out like the Veterans cruise again? If so I would meet everybody up @ the park and have spots setup for parking, etc.
Edit:
We were approved!! The foundation is Make-A-Wish, and we are going to actually raise enough money to Adopt-A-Wish which means New York Mustangs will grant a child with a life threatening disease a wish! I'm very excited and happy about this and am very pleased to bring joy, happiness, and hope into a child's life...Especially a child who needs it. We do not know the exact wish or child yet, but we will. This time we have a goal, and that goal is $7,000. Don't be alarmed. Although it sounds like a lot, it really isn't that bad. And if we have to do other fundraisers to reach that goal, so be it. I will also be setting up a page on the site where people can donate online. We may have to work a little harder for this one, but it's definitely worth it. I hope you all feel the same way about this as I do!
