New top for 1998 gt price

Hey guys


So i was wondering if anyone knew how much it costs to replace the top on a 1998 gt convertible ....i need the top and back window....plus installation...the one i have now the back window is leaking and caulking it doesnt really seem to help...i got an estimate from one place for $1400 and I want to make sure i'm not being taken for a ride seeing as you can buy the top and window online for about $500....

That sounds about right. What you're paying for is labor. Most places charge $95/Hr and it a 10 - 15 hr job.

I was quoted $1950 but that was for ...

New top
Tinted rear window w/ defroster
Headliner
Sidepads
New well liner

I wound up doing mine myself. No I wouldn't do another. Big PITA.
