Locating main plug-in for headlights

I recently purchased a HID hi/lo beam kit for my 1999 Mustang. The kit appears to be the main socket connections out to the headlights. It includes all the wiring, bulbs, digital ballasts, etc. My question is: where is this main connectioin to the existing headlight harness? Is it in the engine compartment or under the dashboard?

I just did mine a few weeks ago. I know it looks like a mess but its actually simpler than it looks. Best way to get a grip on it before you install is to take light harness & lay it out on the car & you will see where the plugs terminate & the matching plug on car wont be far from where you have harness laid out.
