my transmission allways kicked out of reverse gear but today it poped out of 1st while driving and its making sounds that were not there b4 ater that happened i put it back is 1st it still drives and doesnt feel different except its making that sound ....

what going on ?
do i need a new 1?
any 1 have a t 45 ?
can i get it rebuilt? but for how much?

please help :(

Weeee! My 97GT makes that noise too! Helicopter's landing... Mine pops out of reverse since day one, 3 years ago. No change. But lately it did start halfway popping out of fifth. Fun! Can't wait to hear some answers.

The noise goes away when you push in the clutch, right?

yea same thing with mine it popped out of reverse ever since i got it ....what i found out is every time it pops out it damages ur syncros that sound you here is your transmission bearing and yes it goes away when u press on the clutch


its like $700 to repair or or around 400 to 500 for a new 1 but it might not have the clutch u like as the set up

Get yourself an upgraded TKO 500 or T-3650 for about the same as rebuilding your stocker, your syncro are bad and you may have a bad fork, will cost about 800.00 to 1500.00 to rebuilt and you'll still have a shitty t-45 IMO
