Are you using the stock bypass valve that came with the Vortech kit? If so, you will definitely need a bigger one if adding an intercooler. I went with a
Vortech Maxflow Bypass Valve, set up as a BOV. If you're using the stock Vortech kit then your car is set up as a Draw-Thru system and the location of the MAF is probably just after the air filter. If you want to install a BOV then you have to change the system to Blow-Thru (recirculating the air as opposed to releasing it). To convert to Blow-Thru will cost a little $$ but IMO it's worth it. If you installed the intercooler and kept it as a draw-thru system, you would still have a bypass valve and air will be measured right after the filter rather than right before the throttle body. If you go with a Blow-Thru then you should relocated the MAF to right before the throttle body and install the BOV between the blower and intercooler. I went with a Pmas MAF and also added a
Kenne Belle BAP (Boost A Pump) because the Vortech 255 fuel pump that came with the kit was struggling a bit up top.
