How much HP?

How much HP you guys think'in?:mechanic:

2000 mustang GT 5spd Man
Vortech V3 8-9lbs boost
70MM throttle body
Accufab plenum
BBK equal length ceramic shorties
Magnaflow catted X
Magnaflow catback

I figure somewhere around 385 at the flywheel, I wish to be at 400HP but I don't think it will get tat far. Probably need intercooler for that. Let me know what you think :idk:

Well I guess I'll find out when I pick it up Friday from the Vortech install. I thought I would get at least one person to take a shot at estimating the HP. :confused:

how much more would it have cost to have the intercooler included with the set-up?

if you should choose to get one, you would need to re-tune, right ?

The supercharger kit was $3678. With the intercooler $5180. So $1500 more. I believe though a lot of guys like the CXracing inter-cooler which is a lot less money. An additional tune will be needed if I add it afterwards. I would do the intercooler now but don't have the cash right now. Plus I can look at it as my next mod. These prices don't include install or tune those are additional.

Its not just the intercooler its self that your paying for in that kit. There is also much more addtional piping to add an Intercooler.

just wondering....i thought i remember people saying the opposite...that they didnt like the cx racing intercooler....that its a poor quality and designed intercooler .... that it actually robbed them of power.
just trying to clarify.

people...please add your advice / opinions on intercoolers.

From me just forum surfing I see alot of guys using CXracing intercoolers with Tial 55MM BOV and have good success with that combo. That combo is good for 12psi or less of boost. On ebay you can easily piece that setup together for under $1000.
I am just learning about this stuff myself so I'm a novice at best.

If you don't set up the intercooler correctly you can easily loose power. And it takes someone with experience to know to put it together right. You probably loose boost but with denser air the HP should go up.
