HID install question - wheres do you connect to the Light Switch relay harness?

Sup All,

I got an HID kit and i was fitting it last nite, everything looked good but i could not find where you connect to the Light Switch Relay harness for the life of me

The HID Controller goes to each ballast, to the battery and the final connection is a clip harness to the light switch Relay, thats the one i cannot find, it should be on the left side of the engine when looking at it from the open hood.

Anybody?

What kit did you get? I know my VVME one was plug and play, i just had to bend the prongs a tiny bit to fit. Mine plugged right into the bulb harness.

I got the kit from GPR auto (Site Sponser) but they dont seem to have a brand name on them, so..

It is plug and play but the kit needs to be told when to turn on via the headlight switch, so it has to interface with the Mustangs harness at some junction and that the one i cant find, Its a 3 prong, small Clip harness.

News to me. I have done a few hid kits and never had to tap or plug into a switch harness. The headligh harness plugs into the ballast and the other end goes to the hid. If you are using the Hi/low kit, they should have given you a module that the kit plugs into. Check my pics on what I meen.

The first is the hi/low module, the second is where I got power for it, and the third is where I got the ground. I will take more pics if you need, just let me know.

Thanks for the pix, i think i have the same kit as you but i have the Hi/Low model. I was gonna get power from the Battery itself but the Fuse box seems like it would be much easier.

So that controller had a Positive line, negative line, lines to go to the ballasts and the one last connector that is a harness clip, thats the one i need to find. If you have a chance can you follow each line froming from your controller and see if you have that connector and snap a pic. YOu have got to have the same one, otehrwise how would the HID kit know when to turn on or off?

I was just doing some research and it looks like this connector for the relay im talkin about connects directly into the line going to the OEM bulb, that makes perfect sense!!

If you can't get it done tomorrow, I will snap some pics tomorrow afternoon for ya, It is actually easy, I have another pic of the harness to the light. Mine had to be flipped over so the colors don't match, just happens sometimes, no big deal.

In case any of you guys are wondering, the HID kit gets the light switch from the Passanger side OEM light harness that plugs into the headlight bulb. YOu plug that harness clip into the HID controller and the controller send signal to the Ballasts. It was so easy that i overlooked it.

Mine had to be flipped over as well, otherwise one would be High and the other would be Low beam AND my colors also dont match. I havnt actually driven the car since i installed the HID's so i have yet to see them in action.

Maybe im crazy, cause i thought one headlight looked white and the other looked blue but i showed it to my friend last nite and he said he di NOT see any difference.
