First electrical issues now a Carb leak....!!

I was planning to attend S.I. meet had car pulled out....smelled gas.....I now have a gas drip....seems top gasket of the Carb needs replacing.......:nono:

Stang not having a good summer.....before this no problems for several years....

I must have missed the electric issues? That said carb leaks can be pretty common especially if the car sits and I've noticed that my carb rebuilds don't seem to last as long as they used to. I believe that can be attributed to the new gas. First step towards your problem would be to i.d. what carb you have stock your car would have had an Autolite 1100. You can try lightly tightening the screws on the top but you'll most likely have to replace the gasket. You should be able to get a kit relatively cheap and quickly enough to still make your car show. If you need to pick my brain feel free.

Thanks..............tightened screws......but problem was line going into the massive single barrel carb......that was a bit loose.....tight now....
