So i haven't been on for awhile, bought a jeep and was tinkering with that Mustangs sitting in the garage waiting for summerrrrrrrr. Have a few plans and need to do's with it...
Rear Main seal (can this be done with taking out only the trans and oil pan?)
New synchros in trans (probably just going to bring it to someone to do)
New short shifter+speedo gear (hopefully install myself)
Repack the rear end (probably get someone else to do this also)
Fix exhaust (dumps before rear tires, might just get rolled tips to come out on each side before the tires, or get texas turn downs behind the tires)
Eventually fix the friggin heater core......
Radiator leaks somewhere too but just a tiny bit...............
Breaks, radio+speakers and small stuff...
Was also skipping while running at idle before i put it away for winter, and then sputters and spits at 4k+ rpms...
Was looking for input on relative ease to do some of this or if its just worth paying someone to do some of it...
How much would synchros cost to be put in if i brought the trans somewhere?
And repacking the rear end?
Short shifter (any preference on brand?) and speedo gear im sure i can do if i end up taking the transmission out to get someone to do the synchros anyway...
And was looking for pictures/videos of 86 notchbacks with turn downs or pipes coming out in front of the rear tires
