This past weekend the Fabulous Fords Forever show celebrated its 29th anniversary this year with yet another great event on the grounds of Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. To put that in perspective, the show has been around for nearly 2/3 of the Ford Mustang’s lifetime. Nearly 2,000 Fords pack the parking lots surrounding the park, hundreds of which were Mustangs.
While it often seems the same people and the same cars show up every year (because they do), there are always plenty of new faces as well. The Mustang contingency was even larger this year, though, given the 50th anniversary celebrations, and the organizers made sure to allow even more room for the extra pony cars. Different sections were dedicated to different generations, and special areas were also roped off for Boss, Bullitt, Cobra and Mach 1 models.
The Mustang aftermarket generally show up in force at Fabulous Fords, and this year was no different. Saleen brought out their latest wares including the 30th anniversary SA-30 Mustang that debuted at the LA Auto Show, Roush showed off their 700 horsepower Phase 3 Mustang, and Shelby had several of their Super Snake and GT350 models on hand.
Ford also brought out a 2015 Mustang GT, and for many it was their first opportunity to see it in person.
