exhaust manifold

i was driving the stang around and noticed that when i was driving that there was a noticable tapping noise coming from the drivers side of the motor towards the top of the motor it seems to go away when i back off of the gas a little bit but the second i start to the accelerate some it comes back and gets more rapid the more i accel. i really just think its a blown exhaust manifold gasket cause the stang goes through them like skittles due to the headers missing a bolt on both sides. would oil getting on the header and gasket cause it to fail?

So you're missing a bolt for each side of the headers? I would get two bolts and put them in, you are most likely getting an exhaust leak from the manifolds not being tightened down all the way since you're missing the bolts. It will sound like a ticking noise. On mine, I have to tighten down all of the header bolts every so often because I hear the ticking noise again, I really need some locking header bolts so I don't have to deal with tightening mine all the time.

yeah i got some with the long tubes i got. just gotta get time install them.
