engine rpm surge

i can't seem to stop my engine from having rpm surges and i've changed all the sensors around the throttle body. can you figure this out, maybe you had this happen to you?????

did u go over the engine with starter fluid to see if it has a vac-leak ?

Again, now that we know you're FI, like Wayne asked....what is your setup? When is it surging - rpm? at start up only? More info needed.

what do you mean by set-up???? it mostly happens at the cold start but does'nt completely go away.. i'm new at tese fi engines so any kind of help would be grately appreciated.

How long have you had the car - has it always done this? Is the car modified....heads? cam? intake? blower?turbo? etc If it just started and never happened before, have you done any work to it recently?

Is the car stock? Sounds like EGR valve to me, try unplugging the vac line to it and start the car ans see if it goes away.

the surge only happens at idle otherwise it runs like a beast. Engine looks like whoever had it they did some mods to it.. The car is aod....

i want to put an msd ignition but don't know which one should i drop in it... Can i go from fuel inj. To carb without any major problems?????

More info maybe engine bay pics? Alot of things could be wrong and screw the carb nothing wrong with EFI....imho

Agreed.

Could be a dirty IAT....could be a bloackoff plate wasn't used when deleting the EGR.....could be vac leak somewhere. Was it doing this prior to the EGR delete?

instead of using the quick reply, go advanced....it is right next to the quick reply button. Scroll down a bit and you will see "add attachments" Click that and upload your pic.

If it is your album you can right click and press "save picture location" then in the quick reply area click on the icon with the mountain and paste.

It is really easy once you do it a few times.
