Electric Fan motor stayed on!

Ok, here is what happened...

I bought a second keyless remote fob since I only have one. I did the procedure of turning the key back and forth 8 times to enter program mode. I got the door locks to cycle, but the remote didn't learn. Anyways, to make a long story longer... the electric engine fan started up and stayed on running and running and running!

I decided to take a drive around town to see if I could cycle the car to shut it off. When I pulled back into the garage after a few miles, it shut off. Any ideas guys???????? So could I have fried my CCRM with that stupid 8 key turns thing? :smash:

I don't think you fried your CCRM. Does it STILL do it or did it do it that one time and hasn't done it since?

What kind of fob did you use?

saw that video before even attempting it. Thanks. I got a Ford key and Ford fob from Amazon. I guess I will just settle and take it to the dealer and have them do it. If they blow it up, its on their watch.
