Well I got my cobra r brakes and cobra rears installed, and finally took it for a test drive.
couple issues:
1. The ABS is kicking in way too early. Before they even lock up. Do you think I got air in my module? I had this problem b4 the install, and was hoping I just needed to bleed the brakes better and it would go away, not so much.
2. The rear rotors slightly grind on the caliper brackets, especially when going around a long turn. I can hear them skimming. I had already filed them down a bit, I think i need to grind more off. Im guessing this is caused by the side to side play in the axles, and thats why it's not all the time. Do you think some more grinding will solve this issue?
3. This relates to the 1st one. ON my test drive I got a bit stuck on some packed snow, after spinning and spinning and some friendly neighbors pushing I got out, but all the spinning kicked on my ABS light (totally expected).
However, the ABS stay on for the short ride back to my garage, and upon which I was able to hit the brakes hard to test them and the ABS didn't kick on at all, which actually felt much better. With the ABS not working, it didn't give me the problem described in #1. Do you think this confirms that I have air in my ABS module? I will be racing this car on open tracks/HPDE's this year, Do you think I would be better off with it completely disabled? I actually like the feel of it better, I dont have to worry about it kicking in and lettign my brakes up for just the slightest wheel lock.
