I appreciate the input but my question besides one answer is zoom clutches any good,know of anyone running them. The centerforcce and ram clutches are nice but the price is nearly double than the zoom. I figured with the zoom the hd application has kevlar clutch material and comes with the pilot bearings and ceramic button. Im buying a super charger in the spring which wont leave me much money to upgrade the stock clutch, thats why im looking at the zoom. If someone heard bad things about them than i will spend the money on a centerforce. Again i appreciate all the help as i just joined this site and have had so much help. Thanks again-Adam
I call BS a 500 horse car with a king cobra clutch, it might last if he drives like a grandma, Id stay away from centerforce, we had the weights come apart and jam the pressure plate open and ive heard of the same thing happening to other people. the zoom is cheap for a reason, if your planning on making any power dont cheap out on a clutch
bottom line is you get what you pay for...1st off,lets forget about ur tranny for a sec...i had a ram 900 series clutch set up,about 150 normal street miles, no abuse really, SI street suck...car made a few dyno passes. clutch lasted one rental,1st pass was leaving around 35-4000, second was a full blown pass leaving at 5500, that clutch let go,came about in about 5 pieces...came to the conclusion after that,goin fast in a straight line = C4 all day unless you feel like doing clutches after each season with is gonna get $$$$ for the clutch and especially with you have to pay someone to wrench...ive always had a blower car,10 times better with the C4,i just dont use my left foot,lol.and no need to drop the trans after each season,best thing ive done. even thou out of about 5 ppl i know that had that clutch,i was the only one that it fail the durability test...g force trannies are over rated,they break the same-have a story for that as well...id stick with the TKO 600,i liked it when i had it, havent heard ne one bitch bout it...if ur interested in a C4,lemme me know,have a few ppl that that would be able to help you out at dynamic..just trying to help someone out bfore they spend money like i did bfore doing what i should have done in the 1st place,but was thickheaded...my o2..
