Choosing new ride! (04GT to 12/13GT)

Hey all... Happy Memorial Day, Happy Summer:D!

I am trying to make my final decision on a used 12 or 13 GT. If anyone knows firsthand:

Is there any noticeable difference (in ride mostly) between the 'track pack' and a vehicle equipped with the brembo package and 3.73 rear??? It looks like the difference may be the radiator, engine oil cooling (prolly a GOOD:awesomework: thing) and brake pad friction material??

Also, is the Shaker (not Shaker Pro) stereo a noticeable improvement over base unit? I realize I'm buying the car and not a stereo, but I do enjoy good sound quality (especially when I'm cruisin' highway with some rippin' guitar solos:evil: as fuel!)

Lastly; Recaro (possibly cloth:confused:) seats vs the GT Premium leather seats? Comfort, and added value down road for future sale/trade?? OH! And COLOR... Black, Gray, Grabber Blue or Gotta Have it Green? Votes (and again, future resale value/detriment)?? THANKS!

Just recently acquired a 2014 GT/CS. If you are tracking the car get Brembo. Recaro seats can be uncomfortable on long trips even though they look SWEET. Designed for track. More $$$ if you want them. Many do like them though . I have the shaker PRO 1000 in my 14. It makes a difference but will reduce trunk space. I also have the glass roof a 1900$ option. The CS gets special seats and some exterior goodies. 373 is a must if you want the performance. Remember the 13 has updates, exterior changes. Nothing major. My 14 is fully loaded. There are incentive deals running on left over 13's. On the new 14's also Ford incentives available. Lots of luck wit the NEW RIDE. Check my garage the 14 is there. 14 and 13 basically the same GT.:headbang:

Congrats on yours:awesomework: and thanks for the input! Yeah, I'm def getting 3.73 rear. I don't need the shaker 1000(although I would like it). If not mistaking, the Shaker 500 was included on all GT Premium cars. I may not have an option as one of the cars I'm looking at was built GT Coupe, and the Recaros are cloth on that one and it just comes straight Am/Fm CD. I would have to agree about the comfort of the seats, although haven't even sat in 'em yet(gonna go today though).

If you found one with the Recaros I would recommend getting them as they are extremely comfortable and feel great! The base stereo is very weak IMO. I have the Shaker 500 in my car and I do have to say that I love it.

I have to disagree on the RECAROS. Trips over 1 hr they are not as comfortable as the GT non track seat. The regular premium seats are RECARO . This is NOT stated by FORD. Of course its still individual preference. We all are aware , RECARO makes many variations that are for sale on the aftermarket .I agree on the stereo ,base is a no go. Shaker 500 is excellent . This system is in my 2010 GT. Kicker does make upgrades for the mustang which I added to my Shaker 500. They can be purchased from Shelby America. Still in the end its customer preference.:beer:

Definitely go with something above the base stereo. I got the base stereo and upgraded my front speakers within a month because they sounded so horrible.

Answered in order:

First question: yes, HUGE difference in the ride from what ive heard
Second question: The last time I listened to a shaker stereo was in an 05 and compared to my stock setup theres not much of a difference.
Last question: GET THE LEATHER, those seats are VERY comfortable. if youre looking at different colors:

-Grabber blue with black interior
-black with red interior (if they still offer that)
-green with black interior (this will look gnarly :evil: )
-And for a classy look, gray with brown interior

Hope you get a '13, those things look incredible and all of the sound great!!! :headbang::rock:

whats up... thanks for input.:headbang: i still havent made up my mind. i do prefer a premium to a coupe, even if it has recaro(cloth). i think i'd rather have the upgraded stereo and leather. if you ask me, the gt premium leather seats are almost as sporty(looks AND feel) as recaros and a bit more plush. i did hear the stock stereo and my cd didnt sound very good:thumbsdown: at moderately higher volume at all

also; i 'looked' at height of brembo car vs regular gt and wheel/fender gap doesnt seem very significant! i know brakes/springs and shocks/stability program are different which makes the package on it's own, but i did think the overall height and rake were supposed to be different. am i missing something?

as for colors, its black, grey, candy red, or maybe grabber. kind of afraid black will be a real pita (although they look great clean!) and my personal fave is the red, although don't want cops seeing me on highway from 3/4 mile:evil:! interior, my only choice is charcoal black, or stone white if leather. oh- or black and cashmere stripe on the optional premium seats.

any other votes/advice appreciated!
