As of late I have become very familiar with pads.
For the rear, any OEM replacment will be fine. They do almost no stopping on our nose heavy pigs. I would get a set of ceramics, they will cut down on dust AND noise, and be very rotor friendly. HPS are a little more performance oriented.
Now for the fronts, the HPS and hawk performance ceramics are almost identical. I use Carbotech XP10s on the front for the track, they work like you wouldn't beleive, I couldn't fade them if I tried, and have great wear. They also don't hurt my rotors at all. However, they aren't very street friendly. They are squeky (very squeky) at low speeds and put out a decent amount of dust. However, from what I've heard carbotechs aremuch more rotor friendly than the hawks.
For a street car, I would keep it with ceramics, Hawk performance ceramics are great IMO.
