AOD capabilities

Can an AOD be built to deal with 550 crank HP? Looking through all the kits I can find I only see them being built for about 450hp. Someone has to make a full rebuild kit to take more power then that.

yea they can be made to handle more then that check out www.ford-aod.com they have clutch kits, valve bodys, govnor overrides, kevlar bands hardened input shafts, etc like i said all depends on what power you want it to handle. .also read that lentech has a good valve body for the aod might want to look into that. . .good luck

Call Freddy Brown. I run one of there A.O.D.s in my car 2 season now. I have gone 9.40's with there trans. I make over 576 rwhp and about 700 crank hp
