A friend of mine looked into doing that swap on his 99 GT, he said it would be very hard to make it work in the pre 2005 mustang, so he built his own 4.6 4V supercharged motor with 650HP to the tire. To bad he could never hook at the track..lol
I've looked before and never really found anything good. From what I understand it should fit nicely the only difference is that it has a higher deck height and you will need a cowl induction hood because a stock hood will hit the intake unless you buy an intake that a company makes that will fit under a stock hood for like $1400. Because of the higher deck height you will need to use shorty headers and custom exhaust it from there. You will need intake spacers that you can pick up from Modularmustangracing.com. And you might need to extend some wires but thats only a maybe. I think thats it.

That would be true if he was putting a SOHC 5.4 under his hood. He is asking about a a DOHC. You will have to use a Cobra or Mach 1 intake and the wiring is going to be a nightmare but it has been done a few times.
I'll see if I can find the thread over on Modular Revolution that spoke of both DOHC and SOHC 5.4 swaps.
