I am looking for opinions on which to go with.. I don't want to build a race car but a nice street/show car.. I wanna build the bottom end and add a v-3 blower on it after.. car already has h/c/I with upgraded fuel pump and injectors.. and anyone know who in WNY does the machine work to add a striker kit.. GO!!!
302 with a mild blower can handle up to 500hp, i have a 331 now with a stock block and will be adding twins to it over the winter with a air-air intercooler and i am staying with the stock block, if you are not going to race it, just have the block hot tanked and look for any stress, if its good, save the money and stay with what you have, if its done right, you can make alot of horsepower on the stock and save thousands
Talk to Doug if you want to go get work done, he is the person to talk to and can do the entire build, a nice fresh 306 with a V3 and right cam, heads and tune will make a TON of power and will save you thousands of dollars, i have done enough of these cars over the years, it can handle it, just have the block prepped before hand and you will be fine
First thing you need to do is speak with Doug, tell him your plans, what you have and what your goals would be, he will point you in the right direction, i would trust Doug with any car i own, he is one of the best in the country
