Just ordered my first mechanical mod . Borla Atak axle back exhaust. After much searching I decided on Borla for my 5.0 I could have went for less expensive axlebacks. It was the engineering of this design that got my attention. Atak is tuned to the 5.0
Boss 302 intake manifold , Boss strut tower , hardware kit for stock box with K&N filter and engine cover kit has been ordered. The 5.0 will pick up some nice overall gains after install and new tuning.
Another mechanical mod has been added. Boss 302 brakeline upgrade kit. This will eventually be matched with Hawk HPS brake pads and Stop Tech slotted Rotors. "Powerslot"
Different engine direction than the 10. No supercharger application , the 5.0 starts with more HP factory. The larger gains in HP will be at the higher rpm range. The power will be nicely spread throughout the curve. There will be some low end torque loss. Slightly noticeable.
The 5.0 will be getting a Ford Racing sway bar kit , rear GT 500 lower control arms, Ford racing GT 500 SVT fan Additional gauges and a new side pillar to hold them. Install November with the other mods. The exterior will be receiving one more mod Roush rear side splitters this install will take place soon.
All of the mechanical mods for my 5.0 have been acquired except for the headers. This MOD will be purchased in November. Ford Racing Torsen T-2 Limited slip differential and Steeda finned axle girdle have been obtained. These components are now added to the 355 gears. Installation November 2013.
