Those were some good numbers!! Could this be a ringer?? I'm with monx, only 17 hp loss from the crank to the wheels. Unless it is really efficient.....
Could be underrated from the factory just like the Termies were.... There is a article and there is pics of the engine bay and its stock. Ill post the link up
Not to mention the engine may not have been broken in so it may eek out a few extra ponies and some torque. But still I agree with inside line, I guess Ford is Sandbagging the Mustang power numbers again...its like the late 60's again .
Weird part is the horsepower difference between the 2011 v6's and the gt's is not alot. It is something like 50hp i think. Still great to see ford pulling out the stops to make us mustang owners happy

NASTY! The only crappy part of this means the sixxer has about the same IF not more power than my stock 00 GT:nono: I guess upgrades are always necessary!

Time and technology my friend. GM's awnser to technology is simply up the displacement with a almost 20 year old engine platform. Ford however is a lot more smart and produces better technology and motors and makes the same HP/L, well more now with the 5.0 4V rated at 412HP compared to the 6.2L in the 2010 SS
GM uses displacement and pushrods. advantage- bigger power potential, for less money. ford uses smaller displacement and higher technology (and/or OHC('s))advantage- fuel economy, tuneability...different strokes for different folks.
