2005 rims on a '96 GT?

Will aftermarket 20'' rims for a 2005 mustang fit a '96 GT? They are 20'' x 8.5 inch with the 5 x4.5 bolt pattern.

Tires will be too tall, speedo will be slightly off.

also will need a 1" rear spacer, possibly a 1/4" for the front.

+1, I have 18's and I have it lowered and I have like noo wheel gap whatsoever. 20's are too big as it is but especially on sn95's they just look silly

anything over 18"s are only doing harm... unless you need the space for bigger brakes

but yea the back spacing on 05+ rims are from about +28mm to +35mm

sn95 backspacing was +24mm (on a 9 inch rim though).

So backspacing wont be an issue but height my be unless you get paper thin tires and try to keep the orignal tire height of 25.7"

tire sizes that will work to keep that height are 275/25-20 and 245/30-20 (245s are a better fitting)



So yea, they will fit.

the only way it would work well is if you put low profile tires on your car other wise you will keep bottoming out. But it will probably look a little silly.
