2002 mustang gt convertable

Hi I was wondering what it would take to get my car up to about 330 to 350 HP without putting a supercharger or turbo on it. Its a auto ,with just a cai system on it now. Also here is the Big question about how much am I looking at to get it all done..

Without a power adder it would not be cost effective. You would need high compression, head work and cams and the converter would need to be locked. Cost wise a power adder would be cheaper and get you there easier.

OK thanks , If I did the power adder and new high flo cats and exhaust and a tb and plenum with a good tune what would I be looking at $ wise..

Everyone i talked to says start with gears. Is that how I should go .Its a auto so what gears would be best , not going to the track,its not my daily driver but I do take it on the highway sometimes. Also Is it best to put shorty headers on it if Im going to put highflo cats and a cat back mufflers on my car. and should the tune be the last thing i do

You should do these mods all at once, gears the tune will need to be adjusted so you speedo is accurate, headers the engine needs to be tuned for it. I would run a 4.10 gear, long tube headers and a custom dyno tune.

Thanks for the info, After the holidays I will set up a appoitment and have everything done. will I gain alot more power with the headers or should I just stick with the high flo cats and catbacks. I will be going with the 4:10 gears . can I do the TB and plenum and the pulleys myself before you get it without a tune? 1 more thing whats the best sounding set up for my car ,I want something loud but not killer loud. Any advice would be great.

On a NA car you do not pick up much if anything with headers however it does let the motor breath better. If you are looking for sound ARH (American Racing Headers) and a off road pipe and magna flow cat back sounds nice. If inspection is a issue, you can run ARH they make high flow cats with the Long Tube combos. You can install the tb and plenum however it should be tuned as you are changing the VE to the engine.
