2000 V6 front brake "freeze"

I have a 2000 V6 with 118k miles. Don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but after the car sits for a week or so (have a 2010 I drive daily), the front passenger brake seems to "freeze" up while driving. The car shakes and slows down. When I stop there is a distinct burning smell. Will be taking in to have it looked at but does anyone what it might be.

the caliper may have frozen- mine was sitting for just a month, and both front calipers froze.

how did you fix the problem or did it just take care of itself.

you could either rebuild the caliper, or replace it. advance auto carries remanufactured ones

if you swap out the caliper spend a few bucks more and get new hardware and sliders makes the swap so much easier and will work better just did this on my mountaineer,
