Hey,
That's a great looking car you have there.I see it's a California Car. As I've said before if you are looking to make your car correct,Let me know.I've been playing with 65-66 Mustangs for many years (for myself and others) I've also dabbled in judging,so although I'm not a showcar guy(I like drivers) personally I could assist you. In viewing your pictures it appears that you have the correct steering wheel for your interior ,assuming your door tag is code 22(standard blue) and not something different.
Something I noticed in your pictures and this is not to nitpick, not all of my cars are perfect, trust me. Your trunk seal gasket is on wrong.
The seal actually gets glued to the decklid itself. So yes you could say it's incorrect. But worse than that by having it glued where it is it actually creates a damming effect so when that area gets wet the water will stay there alot longer and in time (not much if the car is a driver in wet weather or lives outside) It will rot out the entire gutter area of the trunk well as well as the top of the taillight panel. which would require a fair amount of welding work. worse yet is that pinholes form first which will also let the water into the trunk where the water will rot out the trunk floors, rear trunk support, transition pan and top of your gas tank .
look at it this way when the gasket is on the decklid lid it's sort like a glass that's upside down. right now your glass is turned up.
As far as your spoke hubcaps. If you take a look at my green 66 "Sprint" convertible that I posted pictures of.The hubcaps on that one are correct for sprints. As far as cleaning them I'll tell you my secret The best way to clean them , you can first scrub them on the car or in the sink, rinse them and then throw them into the dishwasher. Yes I'm crazy but serious, that's the trick , they come out perfect .My wife hates it, but she deals. For the record I don't run any dishes with the car parts, In fact I usually do the hubcaps when she's out somewhere shopping. That way if she walks in on me doing that the 10 shopping bags full of clothes and crap in her hands usually cancel it out.LOL......
Last bit on the spoke hubcaps they have weight, sometimes they can come off easily while driving(much easier than stock ones) so I usually bend the prongs out slightly to make them very snug. Also the outer rim of the hucap does not sit flush with the rim. Some people mount these for the first time and think they are incorrect or don't fit right and they start whacking them with a mallet(denting them),etc.. If you get to this point let me know, I'll explain in detail I can also post or email you the page where this was discussed at length in the Ford "Shop Tips" Magazine.
If you decide that you are going to use the car alot I have a few upgrades, etc. That can look basically stock but make a huge difference in the reliability , handling , and safety of your car. Take a look at my green vert ,believe it or not that car is extensively modified. I'm not saying you should do all or half of the stuff I did to that one but I have some good suggestions. Take care.
