tranny

so i noticed recently that when i start my car theres a kind of grinding/ gear noise coming from what sounds like under the sift boot. after about 3 or 4 mins of the car beeing on the noise goes away. any idea what this can be? i thought mabe i need more transmission fluid, its a manual 5 speed...
