what r u guys doing for rust protection on your undercarriage?

In Vermont they actually use a paint/oil mixture or at least they used to. Seems like it would be a mess but if you're ever crawled under a car with a bad rear seal the metal is like new underneath the oil! POR 15 in a paint gun thinned out - just mask EVERYTHING off real good!

    Going rate for Mustang?

I have to agree that foxes aren't bringing top dollar right now especially since its almost fall. Take it from a guy who just sold a pretty nice low mile rag top for 5k. I've seen time and time again bone stock survivors go for good money to collectors. I hope the people who are paying that...

    head gasket or radiator?

I second the notion of a good radiator flush. Go to the parts store and get the prestone kit that puts a T in the heater line. That allows you to properly flush the system and eliminate any air trapped in there. Its a cheap troubleshoot and damn good maintenance.

    Window Issues-Replacement Steps

The rear motors are a pain to replace and also impossible to find proper replacements for. The important thing is to save the metal sprocket in the center since the new ones come with one that is too tall. Lubricate everything while you're in there so nothing binds up. Personally I would just...

    T5 question

Are you sure he didn't have a T5 bellhousing off a 80's v8? The S10 shift location puts me too far forward unfortunately. The camaro t5 I have puts me 4" back but thats ok if I use a straight shift arm.

    T5 question

Looks like the GM five speeds rotated/twisted their bolt pattern from the ford. If you use a stock bell housing the shifter wont line up but if you take a T5 bell housing it rotates it back into position. I was wondering if by swapping on a ford tail onto the trans if I would get a level mount...

    T5 question

Not exactly a Mustang question but here it goes: I'm upgrading my 67' Firebird to a 80's WC T5 out of a Camaro but I'm running into some issues. The GM T5's were rotated 17 degrees clock wise and used the bell housing to turn them back to level. The problem becomes when bolting to my stock...

    finally done!!!!

Always a proud day when you get your car out of paint. Now make sure you never sell it and become one of those guys in their 40's who says "I should have never sold that car..." (no offense to any of those guys on here!)

    Just installed steeda lowering springs

gotta look at what the cost of new tires will be if the camber wears them out. If you don't drive it a ton maybe it could wait but if you're using it as a daily driver it might be a good idea.

    Heater core....

Not sure about the vents but I would look on the internet for the manufacturer of the alarm and see if you can get a schematic of how it works. I pulled my 15+ year alarm out last spring and it was not fun. There's a lot of relays that go with them and you have to basically go through relay by...

    Heater core....

A sneak peak at what you're in for. Not a bad job really just time consuming. It took me about 4-5 hours to do it for the first time last month. The only advice I would give you is not to force anything to come loose, if the dash isn't pulling away easily that means there is still a screw...

    Fox cup holder

Hoot - glad we could enlighten you on the cup holders! I'm pretty sure its gonna get in the way when shifting but I think I'll have to come to terms with that. I like the armrest delete that Jeff has too so I might order that at the same time. I'll post an update once I've driven with it for...

    Fox cup holder

I was wondering what people's thoughts/solutions were to the no cup holder fox interior. It wasn't a big deal for me last summer to not have one (no eating in the car rule) but I have since become a regular coffee drinker and need it for my morning commute. I know they make one for the ash...

WTB 87-93' Passenger side marker lense

That's a good price for a set of original Fords but I think I'll end up just buying a repro for $20. I have to keep things cheap on this car since my wife doesn't understand why I need three cars. Women!

    Interior Paint?

Got my can of scarlet red interior paint the other day and wasn't really impressed. I put a call into cj pony parts and they're talking to the manufacturer to see what's wrong. The piece I'm holding in the pic is what I painted compared to my armrest in sunlight. As you can see the paint they...
