If it's your daily driver, then yeah, that's probably your best option. I'm lucky enough that I don't drive the Stang too often during the winter so I can deal with the clunkiness before the trans warms up.

That's not carbon fiber. You can see the seams where the intake is welded together. It's that carbon fiber "look" stuff....looks like the intake was wrapped in it. Same with the valve covers. Either way, it's clean as hell.

Wet sanding may take off too much color if you're not careful. I would use rubbing compound by hand so you can control the finish. After the compound, if you really wanna do it right, go with a glaze or swirl remover, then a polish or wax. Basically treat it like paint. Here were the tail...

You might want to hit them up with some compound then polish since they look a little dull. Compound and polish will get them nice and shiny!

I drove it for a while after the accident. I just had to change out the hub/knuckle as I bent it on the passenger side. The sheetmetal damage wasn't too bad, but I think I tweaked the body a little cause the drivers side door didn't line up with the b-pillar after that. I miss that car.
