I have BFGoodrich Drag radials, 315's and they will not loose traction, unless I would dump the clutch, but I don't believe in terminal abuse. Put in first, ease into it, then bring it right up to 6500, then the same for 2,3, haven't tried fourth, don't need any speeding tickets.

Just drove the SVT to Myrtle Beach today from New Hampshire with my newly installed 4:10's. I averaged 72mph/2350 rpm and gas mpg averaged 23.1. I will say these gears allow for not having to down shift very often, at various times I had to slow to 25/30 mph I'd just leave in 6th. Very nice...

Gears are installed, wow!! This really woke up 3th & 4th gear. No disappointment hear.

I made a mistake, I corrected my post. It should have said 4th gear, not 6th. your tire(26.42) will give you 128.5 mph with 4:10's

That was my dilema, but after looking at the difference, 4:10 was ok 3:90 = @6700 rpm = 133 mph in 4th 3:90 = @ 70 mph = 2187 rpm in 6th 4:10 = @6700 rpm = 126 mph in 4th 4:10 = @ 70 mph = 2300 rpm in 6th in 4th gear t56-speed T56, final drive ratio of 1:1 and a 26" diameter tire.

It's going to be a grand. I know it's steep, should have been around 650.00, that's what my Tuner charges, but he's gone out of business.

When I had my saleen auto I went from 3:31 to 3:73, I was still running the old tune which was for the 3:31 gears, my tun er at saleen said it was ok to run, but I probably would get some CPU error's, which I did. That's because the CPU was reading a signal from the speed distance sensor which...

Good point forgot about that. Do you ever wish you went a little more to 4:10's?

Hi- I'm having my gears changed from the stock 55's to 73's, is a tune change required. When I had by Saleen it was automatic, so a tune was required. Thanks, 03' Cobra Jeff
