    check all connections (couplers and clamps) make sure they are good and tight. Sounds to me like you blew a coupler off and the sound you heard might not have been a backfire, but the coupler popping off.

    Aftermarket cables are GARBAGE!!!! specially those adjustable ones. Get an original Ford cable. You can order one thru a local Ford dealer, but Maximum Motorsports sells the exact same cable, same quality but a litter cheaper, especially their universal one.

    Get a set of regular, stock replacement plugs and get rid of those e3 plugs!!! those things are GARBAGE. Try that and report back!

    Check your battery connections make sure they're clean, also check the chassis grounds make sure the wire terminal and the chassis mounting point are making good contact. BTW which plugs are you running??

    no, you do not need them other than to pass inspection. You do not need headers, but you do need MIL eliminators to get rid of the check engine light which will come on after the cats are removed

    I think you should choose a manufacturer (probe, diamond, etc), call them and give them the size of the cylinder head combustion chamber, cam specs, power adder (if any) so that they can help you determine which pistons to use to achieve your desired Compression ratio

    the 03-04 Cobra 31 spline (Ford Racing) is a very good, affordable unit that takes a decent amount of abuse.

    daaaammmmmnnnnnn, that's a very good deal! I have been tinkering with the idea of building a new edge car and this roller would be a perfect candidate for it. Too bad it is so far (for me) since I dont have a hauler :(
