myslow04gti wish that would be option 1 if could be i think i have to go to small claims court, not sure.. im going to the guys shop during my lunch with my family to talk to them if not, im going to sue them
stringtheoryWhen did you notice the damage to the bumper? Did you inspect their work prior to leaving the shop? If you paid for a service to be performed and it wasn't to your satisfaction, talk to the owner of the business. If you don't get satisfaction throught that, you could take them to Small Claims Court. It doesn't sound like a police matter.
myslow04gti was at work so i had to pick it up and leave but i noticed it like 10 minutes after i got it back
4eyedcoupeALWAYS inspect when dropping off, and when picking up BEFORE you leave the parking lot. Thier defense(and I'm not condoning it) is they have no idea what you did after you left thier parking lot, for all they know you hit a parking curb.
myslow04gtyeah but they cant get away with that its clear cut... they can say whatever they want if i have to go to court im taking my bumper off dating it by getting my oem bumper re installed then going to court and peeling the vinyl infront of them...they basically scored my bumper as if you were to score molding or something when you do construction it can easily be explained and understood what they did i know there going to try and say some slick shit. but im not letting this happen i will unload my whole bank account into a lawyer easy.
4eyedcoupeListen, your best bet is to go back and talk to them. Be CALM & COLLECTED. Being upset and argumentive will not, help. The best thing you can do is talk to them man to man in a normal tone. If they offer to try to fix it, let them and then sue if you want to go that route. At least at that point, by offering some way of fixing it they are admitting fault and helping your case. But be COOL and if they are decent, they will listen. If your angry and upset, they won't want to talk. It's the best advice I could give you. Good luck!
