Shorty mid is for long tubes. Being long tubes are "longer" , you have to lose some length in the mid pipe, thus "shorty". Most pipes are matched for easier install. Ie... Mac long tubes might not match a bassani x pipe, causing you to have issues and needing some "custom" work.

ya i understand that im just trying to double check what i have on my car i was told i have a mac prochambered midpipe but when i went to american muscle there were two one longer one shorter as you stated but i cant really tell forsure which i have i think its the shorty midpipe

If the pipe makes a bend down from the engine, you have the longer one

hmm thanks for the tip im going to check a bit later im going to have my car lifted so i can see exactly what the situation is.... the faster i resolve this problem the faster i can order my mods it sucks so dam bad

i figured out it couldnt be the mac prochamber shorty midpipe because if it a shorty midpipe the stock headders will never reach
