You have the manual still, right? I wouldn't bother with any drag radial, go right for the slicks for the track. They say use slicks for manuals, and drag radials for autos. M/T and Hoosiers make really good drag slicks from what I hear.

if i know correctly, he's probably gonna want a tire he can drive 30 miles to get to the track and back...or else, id recommend a slick. I still say MT ET Street DR or Hoosier QTP if ur gonna go DOT tire. A buddy runs low 10's in a 95 GT with a stick on MT ET Street DR's and rarely blows the tires off at the line...slicks would be ur best bet and just have someone follow u to the track with ur tires and a jackstand to change them at the track
