It can be rubbed out with compound and then buffed

Try the rubbing compound out. All claybar does is take any containments that are sitting on the surface of the paint off of the surface.

My recommendation would be to pick up a foam applicator and something like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and see if you can rub it out. If I lived closer I would stop by with my buffer and give you a hand. Haha

I have dulled areas myself. Then to the shop to fix it. They are sometimes a pain.
