Point taken my friend! BUT let's also remember that technology has advanced a lot and times are now different. Look at the 18th amendment (prohibition) and the 21st amendment which repealed the 18th amendment. These amendments were instilled 237 years ago. Times have changed and the population has grown exponentially.

True, and this growth does not mean we are any safer. Secondly, muskets were the assualt rifle of their time. We lead many assaults using such weapons, including the one that made us free. Do not forget that the people have a right to bear arms. Although rights may be limited they may not be infringed in totality!
