No ...not my color. I refused to get anything other than DIB. If the 9/9 ETA doesn't happen I'm going elsewhere thou. I don't care if I forfeit my deposit.

If you waited this long I wouldn't give up now. Just hang in there a little while longer. If the dealer can't produce then request your deposit back.

If your getting a factory order, unfortunately its all out of the dealerships hands FoMoCo is in complete control of that, well sort of. They're very quick to build the car, probably have it in and out to storage in a day, the problem is that... storage, since Flat Rock is a massive building complex, theyrun into the problem of FiFo, First in First out, so depending how many cars are ahead of you is the waiting time. Ford uses a 3rd party for shipping and thats where it goes down hill, th cars are moved by rail to distrubition then loaded onto the carriers to go to stealerships, and the problem is the rails, there is such a backlog of moving cars there isn't enough coverage for moving the metal. Only thing you can hope for is the car hits a near by center and your dealer is willing to send someone to pick it up and drive it back to the dealership, or they get lucky with an awesome foreman who will sneak the car on a carrier. Ask alot of sales guys and they'll say the wait kills deals. But its still better then those guys on the other sides of the pond, most won't let you get a build you gotta take what's on the lot no special orders, or those who do take special order well its a very long wait.

I get FIFO LIFO ..this was more FILO.....The issue remains with the dealer in over committing. Many years I worked and managed retail sales...I don't care what market it's in...NEVER over promise under deliver. I knew 4 weeks was total BS ..6 I figured I could live with...don't promise me for and now we're looking at 7 and a 1/2 and lie and say you didn't say that when I have it in black and white writing. That's the shit that ticks me off more than anything. I could've found one in the tri state area with the options I wanted. They knew that so in turn made bullshit promises to acquire my business. In reality I could've just gone up to MA and visited my family and had the one I wanted weeks ago.

Now I'm in full rant mode. I specifically went to Sayville because I personally know many people throughout the years who have purchased through them and they were known as the best in the business. Unfortunately I went in knowing their press and customer service has gone to crap in the last 2 years and after analyzing my businesses attributed it mostly to the increasing finickiness of New Yorkers. It's not the wait persay. If I knew it was more like 8 weeks from the get go then that was my decision to make. It's more the lies and shadiness surrounding her arrival. Unreturned phone calls...saying someones there then dumping me to voicemail 5 times after assuring me I'd be connected with the actual person. Then hearing they went home for the day. In any of my company/business ventures I have never once acted or treated any of my customer's business this way whether it was $300 or a $50,000 order. I think it's absolutely absurd I get a much higher caliber of service from someone who is hundreds of miles away vs a much smaller operation just 8 miles away. That is the crap that sends me over the edge. Not hey...realistically we can do this in 8 weeks.

I know your frustration, it really is I always felt the biggest let down in the auto industry. I'm not sure how it is now, but when I was at Ford they were horrible with release dates, which is I think why they never give a date but say Fall. I sold a guy a F series which needed factory build, we didn't get it till 13 weeks later, he gave up around week 8. I called to figure out what the hell happen only to be told that Ford's 3rd party shipping run by DHL had a problem with a rail contractor and they went on strike. I also remember when they were launching the Edge and MKX, we were told October / November, we didn't get our first cars till just before christmas, atleast people got to test the AWD.
