Ok cool thanks for the link. I'm only gathering ideas anyway. Probably won't get my hood until after Rob does my T-5 swap for me.

Yea I'm thinking 3" that's what the CF one from Harwood is. Just it's expensive, but then again a fiberglass hood that's painted would probably be more expensive. Not sure though. Depends on the company more than likely.

Yea its all in the company, and really where you get it from

Harwood sells them for 795 painted? The fiberglass hoods are around 400 plus the paint.

Some companies I'm not thrilled with like Cervini's. They just have a larger selection than most. And I mean their stuff is decent, but the quality doesn't match Harwood by any means. That's why I rather get opinions from other Stangers.

Removed my cervinis lower scoops. Mold quality could have been better........

No lol. That's $795 for a 3" CF hood. The unpainted fiberglass hoods are $285 for 3" lift off and $519 for a bolt on 3" cowl. Unpainted, but they come fully finished with all hardware, and accessories, as well as a fully finished underside.

That's exactly what I mean. Their quality and fit is iffy at times. Same with the Pypes exhaust company. Poor poor quality along with fitment issues.

My hood was 695$.

Many have not liked Pypes.......but they supposedly have improved.

My hood was body shop painted and installed.

Is yours CF? And was it fully finished on the underside? All hardware needed?

Yeah on a few other forums people have been having problems with Cervini's, one of them ordered the same hood I have and they didn't get all the parts for it. It took them like 2 to 3 weeks to ship the air filter and a few other things with the kit.

Cervinis has been around for years .........their quality problems should not be there. They make a sweet elenor kit for S197 ....But i would worry about fit and finish ,

That sucks. They use to be decent. But I just never liked their quality all that much. The big selection is nice, but some of their hoods are overkill and when you have that many styles and the fitment issues, etc, your basically saturating the market. After all it's quality over quantity any day for me.

Ok so I guess the 795 isn't that bad then for the CF hood. Still gonna check around these other sites though.

Yea Cervini's should be better but some companies start trying to do too much and that's what they've done. Harwood has probably been around longer, and yet never any issues, but they also have stuck to the basics of what they do best instead of trying to do too many things.

I don't have any complaints about the hood I have from Cervini's. It was already installed when I bought the car, I just wish that they put the mesh in the ram air vents to keep the pine needles out of it.
